Hunt positions

Guests at Arrowhead Ridge may enjoy elevated stand, or ground blind hunting, using your own equipment.  Stand hunters are required to utilize safety harnesses that they are familiar with and are in good working order.

 

Stand Placement

Hunters may view the property maps and choose hunt locations within designated acreage.  We provide clean, cold acreage for each hunter.  We understand, and appreciate that hunter equipment is a personal preference, to  expedite convenient shipping our lodge is serviced by major carriers, such as: FEDEX and UPS, so that equipment may be sent ahead.

 

Essential Equipment

The ILDNR provides rules for bow hunters, in Illinois, with respect to bow draw, weight, transportation and the types of broad heads allowed

 

Selective Criteria & Herd Balance

A harvestable buck is one which meets the goal of a 125 (minimum) P&Y Score.  Adherence to this policy has increased the size & quality of the deer, both seen, and harvested.
